You ARE HERE

Where your story meets the lens, the mic, and the moment. This is a co-creative experience that honors your truth in all its forms—through portraits, conversation, and collective reflection. Because being seen is just the beginning. What follows is legacy.

The Portrait Experience

You Want To Be Seen, Not Just Looked At…

Maybe life cracked something open…

Loss, illness, divorce, aging, a quiet knowing. And now you’re standing after that shift, wondering: “How do I want to show up now? Who am I becoming?”

You’re not trying to perform or prove; you’re ready to make a statement.

Still, other questions hang heavy…

Loss, illness, divorce, aging, a quiet knowing. And now you’re standing after that shift, wondering: “How do I want to show up now? Who am I becoming?”

You’re not trying to perform or prove; you’re ready to make a statement.

Wanting To Be Seen Isn’t Selfish…

It’s Sacred.

I believe portraits can be a form of emotional archaeology: uncovering the layers of who you are now, not just who you were before everything changed. You don’t have to justify your desire for portraits that tell the truth. And you’re not “too late.” You’re right on time.

Why Start From “Scratch” When You Can Start From Truth?

Our work together will be designed to meet you in this chapter, and mark it:

  • With portraits that reflect your strength and softness—on your terms.

  • With images that feel like you, without explanation.

  • With a process that doesn’t force a version of yourself, but allows you space to reveal one.

This portrait session isn’t just about capturing beautiful photos (though you’ll have those too). This experience centers on creating something lasting, a visual anchor for your transformation, a message to everyone, and ode to what you’ve reclaimed.

I’m Tanya Boggs

Photographer. Witness. Co-creator of audacious freedom.

I don’t know exactly where you’re at right now, but I know this: you are here. And that’s not a small thing.

I also understand what it’s like to feel uncertain, vulnerable, or unseen after a major life shift, and to desire a creative partner as you show up for yourself in that space.

That’s why I created You Are Here: to provide the formal invitation so many women crave, to be seen without pressure, and to create something honest in a moment that’s anything but ordinary.

After more than 25 years in the photography world, I can tell you that this work is about more than lighting and lenses. It’s about witnessing.

Here’s how we’ll do that:

A deeply personal portrait session that honors where you are now; not who you were, but who you’re becoming.

  • The opportunity for your portrait to be part of a thoughtful gallery exhibition, turning your story into a shared experience that inspires and connects.

  • A chance to join a podcast conversation with me, giving voice to your journey and helping others feel less alone.

Your transformation is a story worth witnessing. Your visibility is an act of power.

Your self-worth, belonging, and right to take up space are non-negotiable.

With love,

Tanya

NOW LET’S SHOW IT.

You already feel the shift. You know this moment means something. Now it’s time to shape how it’s seen—and how it stays with you. Let’s make this personal, intentional, and unmistakably yours.

We’ll collaborate to define the visual language of your story: moody or luminous, blurred or grounded, intimate or expansive.

Something you can see, return to, and share. A reminder of how far you’ve come, and what you’ve claimed as your own.

a steady stream of images

that work as hard as you do

If you’re ready for visuals that support your momentum (instead of stalling it) you’re in the right place. Together, we can keep your brand in sync with what you’re actually building.

FAQ

What do I need to do to prepare for my photoshoot? What do I wear?

Every session is thoughtfully planned with you, not just for you. We start with a Visibility Call to explore your goals, what’s working (and what’s not), and walk you through how we work.

Once you’re ready to move forward, we’ll schedule a Design Consultation to map out your shoot—covering everything from wardrobe to strategy—so you feel fully prepared and confident every step of the way.

What is the cost to work with you?

Your investment depends on what we’re creating together.

My sessions start with a $700 retainer—$500 of which is applied toward your final purchase. Pricing varies based on the type of session and the kind of imagery you need—whether it’s strategic brand visuals, heirloom portraits, or a full-day shoot for your team.

At your image reveal, you’ll select your favorites and choose how you want them delivered—digitals, prints, wall art, or a mix. Clients typically invest between $1,500 and $10,000, depending on their goals. You only purchase what you love.

Do you photograph men?

Absolutely! Whether they come solo or with a partner, men are always welcome in my studio. I love photographing men—it’s powerful work that gives them space to honor who they are and the legacy they’re creating.

What is your turnaround time for my imagery?

Once you’ve selected and paid for your images, digital files are delivered within 5–7 business days. Artwork typically arrives within 3–4 weeks after edits are finalized and digitals are delivered.

Where are you located?

I serve clients in Charleston, SC, and across Southern California—from Los Angeles to San Diego. I also travel regularly and am available for sessions worldwide.

Will you publish my photos on your website or in marketing?

Your privacy matters. While all clients sign a portrait agreement outlining expectations, many prefer to keep their images private—and I fully respect that.

We’ll decide together at your image selection appointment if there are any photos you’re comfortable with me sharing. You’re always in control.
