I believe portraits can be a form of emotional archaeology: uncovering the layers of who you are now, not just who you were before everything changed. You don’t have to justify your desire for portraits that tell the truth. And you’re not “too late.” You’re right on time.

I don’t know exactly where you’re at right now, but I know this: you are here. And that’s not a small thing.

I also understand what it’s like to feel uncertain, vulnerable, or unseen after a major life shift, and to desire a creative partner as you show up for yourself in that space.

That’s why I created You Are Here: to provide the formal invitation so many women crave, to be seen without pressure, and to create something honest in a moment that’s anything but ordinary.

After more than 25 years in the photography world, working with women in Los Angeles, Charleston, SC, and beyond, I can tell you that this work is about more than lighting and lenses. It’s about witnessing.
